What a beautiful golf course, I played with a member, and off the white tee, every single hole is challenging, I played off a single handicap, but find it hard to score, the green is magnificent but tricky, if your ball is in the heather, it’s so difficult to get the ball out, love to come back and challenge this course again.

Lots of work being undertaken at the moment. An old hole has been found amongst the trees cut down. A site for a new clubhouse has been found and views to the city of London are beautiful. The foresight of the current owner seems to align perfectly with the original course architect. Large greens, wide fairways, a great test of golf. Don’t let the par 69 fool you. This course can bite back as quick as look at you. Worth a try now, when it’s completed, you won’t be able to book a time or join as it will be full.

Wow. Haven’t played many courses in the UK like this. Almost every hole could be their signature hole. Very undulating, various holes with plenty to think about in a stunning location with views over London. Lots of work ongoing but shows they invest and take the future of the club seriously. Worth the green fees!

A friend and I had a splendid round of golf at ‘The Addington’ a couple of weeks ago during the week. They are undertaking a huge amount of work on the course…none of which hindered or detracted from the round. This was clearly explained in pro shop.The course was a delight and the greens in excellent condition. If you didn’t know…you could have been forgiven for thinking you were playing ‘Queens’ at Gleneagles instead of being in South London. A delight..I look forward to going back.

I was fortunate to play The Addington in 2019 during a golf trip through London and southeast England. Immediately the quality of the design was recognizable even though the course was overgrown and the fairways had very little grass. I have followed the plans of the current owner and am very excited for the club. It is in very good hands. As an American I only wish I lived closer so I could join. The Addington is golden age design at its best. I can’t wait to visit again and see the course as Colt and Abercrombie intended.

The investment is starting to pay off, was a pile of poo 5 years ago but at £125 a head the green fees are way way too high for this area. No wonder it’s always empty!

Fantastic day up at the Addington. Course played superbly despite it being mid-February.One thing I’d note is all the staff were incredibly friendly. From the club-shop where we were given a mini-briefing on the story of the club, the work being carried out and the ambitions to the future, through to the half-way house. A credit to the club.Though the highlight has to be my friend managing to duff his tee shot on the par-3 17th so badly is whacked off the bridge straight up into the air, finding its way onto the green. I only wish i’d been filming!Would definitely come back again.

This is a decent course and has improved since new course manager has come in. Fairways are in better condition and the green speeds are more sensible.Have visited a number of times and find the pro in the shop a little rude and disinterested in me. Not sure what ive done to put him off.Food and service in bar is top draw and a must after a round.

Fabulous course. Hard but fair.The only reason why I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is the buggy cost and I am writing a review to make people aware of it if they need a buggy like I do. We play all over the world and never came across a buggy cost of £50.

Stunning golf course with great views of London, buy course guide as ravines will trap you if you don’t know they’re there. Superb course in UK top 100, 2nd was a temporary when we visited and lots of tree work going on with large GUR areas on most holes. A real gem despite this.. will definitely play again .

One of my favourite courses played ever.That is how much I enjoyed this. Such a beautiful course that will test your golfing abilities. Lots of very interesting holes. You need to hit the ball long and straight off the tee as thick grass and Heather awaits if you are not.so high handicappers its not for you. Favoirite holes were 5 and 17. Not a massive fan off starting with a par 3 but on the whole this is a course that if be happy to play again and again and again. You must play this course if you get the chance a great game of golf.

A challenging course which I’m sure will be impressive after the remodelling is completed. But playing a round with the constant noise of construction and choking smoke on 6 holes was not that pleasant, even at a reduced rate of £60.

Was looking forward to playing to The Addington. I had heard it was undergoing a lot of work on the course, but decided to go anyway. Unfortunately, this put a huge dampner on the experience. In some places it was like a bit of a war zone, with fires burning tree stumps, bellowing smoke over the fairway, lots of GUR and heavy plant machinery dotted around the course, was also pretty slow play. I’m sure it will look magnificent when it’s all finished but it will take a few years to get it to where they want it to be. Having said that, the greens where fantastic and there’s still some untouched parts of the course that were lovely, so be aware if you come to play there are a lot of changes going on and maybe should reflect this in green fees. Won’t be rushing back, maybe in 5 years when all the work has been completed and time has healed the scars. Sue was very friendly at the halfway hut tho and poured a great pint!!

This once great course is currently undergoing the most horrendous works schedule. Masses if trees and shrubs being taken out to improve light and air movement but leaving huge swathes of damaged areas.Sad sight for those of us that know the original masterpiece. But the greens are all in excellent condition and quick. Very expensive visitor green fee £ 125 especially for the condition the course is currently in.

Very fun course to play, had a discounted rate due to many areas currently being treated/repaired. A few challenging holes and one where course knowledge/management comes into play. Would recommend playing a couple of times or purchasing their course booklet, helpful for those tougher holes.

Disappointed with this return visit to the Addington golf course. Course not in good condition due to major refurbishment work. Unfortunately we were not told about the ongoing work and disruption until we checked in….would have been nice to have been told when we booked! Despite the significant disruption to the course there was no offer of a reduced green fee? The look and feel of the course has completely been changed, perhaps when completed for the better, but not at the moment. The current course condition does not warrant the green fee charged.

Very good challenge. The angles off the tee and fairways make you think twice. Not many bunkers but the ferociously quick and undulating greens have enough defence against the best putter. The course owes me, I left a few out there, ill be back.

not for beginners very challenging. Fastest most undulating greens I have played outside of the belfry. The guy in the proshop was rude and didn’t really seem to care about customer service, bar service a little better.Course planners not available and no pictures on the tees so not easy to plot your way around if you have never played it before. But it’s a great course!

Wow, what a golf course! Interesting holes galore with no weak holes either. Loved the stretch from 6 to 14. Fairways decent if a little patchy, greens were fantastic and tees were level. Bunkers fine as always. I played under my handicap so it is playable. A great golf course!
